On September 7, 2016, led by Ting Chen, Investment Department Manager of Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Shop Co., Ltd., the 20-or-so delegation, including staff of operation department and logistics department, visits HPB in Haikou FTZ. The delegation discusses business cooperation on diamond and jewelry inspection and identification with HPB, visits NGTC lab located in HPB Multiple-use Building, and learns about the laboratory facilities.

On a seminar, HPB shows PPT slides and introduces diamond knowledge such as diamond history, basic characteristics and daily maintenance. Also, they have a lively discussion on relevant hot issues such as the latest research progress of diamonds, application of the up-to-date diamond testing equipment and test methods.

Afterwards the delegation visits the NGTC lab, and learns about the usage of the laboratory equipment and jewelry testing process.

Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Shop is the first offshore duty-free shop organized, operated and governed by Hainan province after Hainan was authorized to found the duty-free commodity operation company with franchise rights and is also the only district-owned offshore duty-free shop in China.
