On March 5, 2018 Mr. Han Bin Party Secretary of Haikou IFTZ Visited HPB with a Formal Discussion with HPB’s Management

On March 5, Mr. Han Bin Party Secretary of Haikou IFTZ visited HPB for attending a meeting focused on development and enterprise demands. Mr. Liu Huiping, Director of Haikou IFTZ Administrative Committee and Mr. Liu Hua, Chief of Haikou IFTZ Customs also attended the meeting, held by Chairman Zhang Baojun, together with Consultant Mr. Lv Wenyuan and Deputy Manager Wu Hao of HPB.

At this meeting, Mr. Zhang gave a report on progress of HPB’s Diamond & Jewelry Project and on trading business of diamond under Shanghai and Haikou Integrated Customs Clearance Policy, with a detailed introduction on annual business condition in 2017.

Mr. Han expressed hope that HPB could make good use of Shanghai and Haikou Integrated Customs Clearance Policy to increase diamond trading volume. He said that Haikou IFTZ will continue to support and assist HPB to apply for related convenient services of Shanghai and Haikou Integrated Customs Clearance Policy, and help HPB to solve some difficulties, for example, how to become a member of Shanghai Diamond Exchange for enterprises moved into Haikou IFTZ.

An in-depth discussion on building international gold & jewelry industrial park in Haikou IFTZ was carried out during this meeting. Consultant Mr. Lv Wenyuan gave a detailed introduction of the plan and prospect of the international gold & jewelry industrial park. He said that an opening ceremony for the international gold & jewelry industrial park project will be held at the end of March, HPB will invite government officials, jewelry enterprises and associations to attend the ceremony, and support from Haikou IFTZ Administrative Committee and Customs will be highly appreciated.

Mr. Han Bin, Mr. Liu Huiping and Mr. Liu Hua all expressed their full support that relevant departments and functional bureaus will assist HPB in carrying out new business, and supporting facilities and services of customs will be improved constantly to boost HPB’s development.
