In the morning of June 2, 2020, Deputy Commissioner Li Guo, of General Administration of Customs visited HPB’s Diamond Jewelry Industrial Park in Haikou FTZ, one of the major park of Hainan Free Trade port, accompanied by Director Chen Zhenchong, of Free Trade Department of General Administration of Customs, Director Shi Zongwei, of Haikou Customs, Deputy Director-General Chen Yuan, of Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, Deputy Mayor Wang Lei of Haikou City, Party Secretary and Director Lu Min of Haikou FTZ, Director Xie Shengwen of Macun Port Customs, etc.

Mr. Li Guo carefully listened to Mr. Zhang Baojun’s report on HPB’s business during the visit of HPB’s Diamond Jewelry Industrial Park. Mr. Zhang Baojun showed Deputy Commissioner Li Guo HPB’s security center and visual supervisory system, and Mr. Li Guo emphasized that HPB shall connect its WMS system for classified management of bonded warehouses to the supervision system of Customs. When visiting the Diamond Showroom, Mr. Li Guo inquired the whole diamond processing procedures from rough diamond, finished diamond to diamond jewelry in detail, learned production cost and sale price, and told HPB to protect intellectual property rights and acquire authorizations from international brands when inquiring for jewelry brands.

At the end, Deputy Commissioner Li Guo expressed his expectations that HPB shall make full use of favorable policies of Hainan Free Trade Port to further increase and enlarge production and operation of the whole diamond-industry chain.
