In the afternoon of July 14, 2020, a group led by Mr. Ni Jian, Vice Director of Financial and Economic Committee of Provincial People’s Congress and Director of Financial and Economic Working Committee of the Standing Committee of Provincial People's Congress, visited HPB’s Diamond Jewelry Industrial Park in Haikou FTZ for survey.   

Mr. Zhang Baojun, the General Manager of HPB, introduced HPB’s business development to Director Ni Jian during the visit in HPB’s Industrial Park. Mr. Zhang Baojun showed Director Ni Jian the NGTC lab and introduced the inspection links and certificate making process for diamonds & jewelry. When visiting the Diamond Showroom, the group inquired the whole diamond processing procedures from rough diamond, finished diamond to diamond jewelry in detail, learned production cost and different sale prices inside and outside FTZ, and had a thorough understanding of the current sales mode.

After on-site tour, the survey group had a meeting with HPB’s management personnel in the meeting room, to collect demands and suggestions of the enterprise for making improvement on the business environment. Mr. Zhang Baojun made a report on HPB’s business operation and policy demands for enterprise development, and asked for policy support and the like from related departments of the governments.

In the meeting, Mr. Ni Jian said that business environment is a key factor affecting development of enterprises and the economy. After getting basic information of HPB’s operation and knowing HPB’s demands, Mr. Ni Jian said that he will pass the difficulties and obstacles of HPB as well as its demands, suggestions and advice for specific polices to related departments of the government, so as to provide active and fine services to enterprises and boost the development of the enterprise. At the end, he required HPB to make full use of favorable policies of Hainan Free Trade Port and to form close cooperation with Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, so as to further increase and enlarge the diamond & jewelry industry in Hainan and create the diamond & jewelry industry with Hainan characteristics.
