On the afternoon of November 7, 2016, Haikou Deputy Mayor Shiwen Sun, accompanied by Huiping Liu and Xinhong Liu, director and deputy director of Haikou FTZ Administrative Committee, visits HPB Project located in Haikou FTZ.

Deputy Mayor Sun, accompanied by HPB Board Chairman Baojun Zhang and HPB Deputy General Manager Hao Wu, visits the exhibition hall on the first floor of the Multiple-use Building. Deputy Mayor Sun, inquires about the design, production process and craft of jewelry, and Board Chairman Baojun Zhang answers the questions in detail.

Subsequently, the delegation holds a seminar about progress and challenges of HPB Project in a meeting room on the second floor of the Multiple-use Building. HPB Board Chairman Baojun Zhang gives a detailed account of the investment and development plan of the HPB Project, and the successful exploration of conversion of "bonded goods" into "duty free goods" of Zuanxihui Store in Meilan Airport Duty-free Mall. He also expresses his hope to develop a diamond industrial tourism project and build a diamond museum so as to enrich tourist routes of Northern Hainan. They also make an in-depth discussion on electroplating pollution during diamond processing, environmental protection and integrated customs clearance for diamonds. Deputy Mayor Sun gives full recognition to the HPB Project, says that they will offer policy support as always, and hopes that HPB utilizes the existing preferential conditions to expand and strengthen.
